The Dominion War ended a little over two years ago and the Federation has been rebuilding. A few months ago, at the end of 2377, the USS Voyager returned home after being stranded in the Delta Quadrant for seven years. It has been a difficult process, but the Federation and Starfleet are getting back to the days of exploration and discovery. To assist in this endeavor, a new Sunbird-class starship, the USS Starfire, has been assigned to the base.

As Sophie Reade was crowned winner of Big Brother 10, she was greeted by a huge array of fireworks, special effects, confetti and streamers rigged by Star Fireworks around the famous TV house.
